Apple's iMovie allows you to build a project from the pre-downloaded trailer templates, or make a new movie to compile videos from a family vacation or birthday party. Once a project is complete. When you play the video, you will see that a button labeled ‘Download' appears on the top-left corner. Now, you will have three options to consider and download the video into the local storage of Mac. Click on the ‘Download' button and define the quality you expect from the downloaded file. Then, click on 'Next' button. It will go to a pop-up window which can specify the folder path to save the files. So far, all the things works fine. When I check the output file, it is saved as .mov format. Why? I changed various output options and found the answer:
